Community Open House Presentation #4 - October 26 2011
Community Open House Presentation #4 includes: an overview of the project’s objectives, the site plan last proposed in June; a revised site plan that meets the projected parking requirements through surface provisions and comparison with previous plan; and a preferred site plan proposal that delivers more artist housing and complete the streetscape by engaging alternative opportunities for parking and transportation. This may include partnerships, relaxations, permitting, curating of tenants and promotion of alternative transportation choices that require further study.

latest plan layout
Sorry for the delay but realized that I had not “put my two cents in’
to this latest plan.
Overall I love it. Being directly across the street we are of course more impacted than others and so your latest “massage” was well thought out.
My only point would be that I really would like to see the north parking lot area remain this way instead of locating more studios. This "floor space" would provide great "market space"; something that would have more community interaction ability than the other.
Again, great job and now all I want to see is a shovel in the ground!
North Parking Space
Thanks for your comments and support of the project. Our site master plan submitted for Land Use Redesignation will ensure views to the north facade by locating some of the parking requirements of the building there. We look forward to opportunities as you suggest, where the activities within the building may spill out and interact with the community.
Vey grey...
The new buildings looking grey and depressing. Add some colored walls please. Black and grey are funeral colors.
Master Plan Renderings
The renderings simply suggest the intent of the development from a master planning perspective. These images distinguish the different land uses and residential types in terms of proposed massing, heights and footprint. Actual architectural design of the buildings will begin in the summer of 2012 and as developement partners join the project.
