When will construction start?

We are currently fundraising to support the full redevelopment of the site, including the renovation of the historic King Edward School.  We will be submitting for a development permit and undergoing a subdivision of the property in the spring of 2013.  Construction is anticipated to commence in March 2014.

Who will be tenants once the building is opened?

We identified 10 anchor tenants through a Request for Proposals process in 2012, representing about half of the tenanted space. There will be subsequent proposal calls circulated in 2014 as we get closer to construction.  The following organizations have been chosen as anchor tenants:

Who will manage the facility once it is open?

cSPACE designs, builds and operates its facilities.

Who will be developing the private sector residential buildings?

cSPACE is currently soliciting interest from residential developers from across Canada who have a successful track record in completing sustainable, well-designed housing projects.  It is anticipated that a developer partner will be chosen by summer 2013.
